Special Ulysses S. Grant Meerschaum Pipe - Portrait carving of Ulysses S. Grant shows every detail from his full head of hair, his well-groomed moustache and beard, to the three stars on each side of his jacket collar. This lightweight pipe was dipped in a special wax formula resulting in a bit of coloring in its carved areas. It has a smooth shank that connects to a scrolled designer bent stem. A top-notch rendering of a famous U.S. General and President who was also an avid pipe smoker. The pipe also represents an artistic piece of American history.

This meerschaum pipe is hand carved from genuine 100% Solid Block Meerschaum and imported directly from central Turkey. After the pipe is carved it is dipped in beeswax to provide a protective coating and to also draw out smoke particles and tar. The pipe will color over time as it is smoked. The stem is made of a special Amberoid Acrylic for a nice finished look and long-lasting durability.

Every block meerschaum pipe we sell is carved by hand, so no two pipes are exactly the same. This hand-carved pipe comes in a custom made black leather and velvet-lined brass hinged case which is a special fit and unique to this Ulysses S. Grant pipe.
