Just ordered my third Thunderbird insert. They are the best on the market. Fits the Zippo great-refuels without a problem and gives off a nice big soft flame. As long as Iown Zippos there will be Thunderbird inserts in them, Try one you will not be disappointed.

This is the original Thunderbird unit for pipes. I love the new transparent body - makes it very easy to see the fuel level. Works every time and fits the case exactly as it should. Very reasonable price, too!!!

Sometimes have a hard time lighting w/ flint wheel. Have many variants of this and it is my "go to" for replacing zippo inserts. Use 5x butane and you are good.

Cons: A little tight to insert and remove. Sometimes it takes 4 to five strikes to light.
Pros: Easy to fill, once lit flame stays on without the need to hold the striker down so your fingers do not burn (unlike the Piezo tye). No taste of fuel while you feel as though you are using a traditional Zippo lighter.
