The Artist Ismail Ozel Signed Buddha Meerschaum Pipe - A rare and exquisite pipe carved by Ismail Ozel, known as The Artist. The Laughing Buddha is carved on the front face of the pipe bowl. He has long ears and is wearing a decorative robe exposing his full, smooth round belly. The pipe bowl is very deep and on the side of the smooth shank is his signature, "Artist." The end of the shank is left more natural but it is waxed. The marbled stem is a full bent stem. This piece of art is an older pipe in our collection and has an antiqued coloring in its finish. A wonderful pipe to add to a collection that can also be a great tobacco smoking pipe and a conversational piece!

This meerschaum pipe is hand carved from genuine 100% Solid Block Meerschaum and imported directly from central Turkey. After the pipe is carved it is dipped in beeswax to provide a protective coating and to also draw out smoke particles and tar. The pipe will color over time as it is smoked. The stem is made of a special Amberoid Acrylic for a nice finished look and long-lasting durability.

Every block meerschaum pipe we sell is carved by hand, so no two pipes are exactly the same. This hand-carved pipe comes in a specially made black leather and velvet-lined brass hinged case which is a custom fit and unique to that individual pipe.
