To create the effect, the carver carves out a space underneath each lattice hole. Carving this technique takes extra time, a steady hand, and patience, and the end result is stunning. The lightweight pipe has a lattice shank that attaches to a translucent straight stem colored in marbled amber tones. It is quite a nice pipe for the meerschaum pipe smoker who prefers a straight stem and appreciates the artistry of the 3D carving.

This meerschaum pipe is hand-carved from genuine 100% solid block meerschaum, and it is imported directly from central Turkey. After carving the pipe, it is dipped in beeswax to provide a protective coating, which also helps to draw out smoke particles and tar. The pipe will change color over time as you smoke it. The stem is made out of a special Amberoid acrylic, which provides a great finished look and long-lasting durability.
