Smooth Bowl in Claw Knurl Meerschaum Pipe - A small, smooth pipe bowl is held by the sharp talons of an eagle claw in this hand-carved meerschaum pipe. The carved knurl is also smooth with a light lattice design on each side. The knurl is elongated, adding extra length to the pipe. The stem has a large bend and is colored in a swirl of dark amber tones. The pipe is an excellent choice for the tobacco pipe smoker who prefers a smaller bowl yet likes a lengthier meerschaum pipe.

A knurl is a piece of solid block meerschaum that is designed in either a carved or smooth finish. It fits on the shank of the meerschaum pipe and serves as an attractive extension. A knurl makes the shank longer, thereby increasing the overall length of the pipe. With this extension, the smoke has further to travel, which gives more time to cool down before reaching the end of the mouthpiece. Knurls on our meerschaum pipes have a Teflon threaded connector, making it easy to remove when cleaning the pipe.

This meerschaum pipe is hand-carved from genuine 100% solid block meerschaum, and it is imported directly from central Turkey. After carving the pipe, it is dipped in beeswax to provide a protective coating, which also helps to draw out smoke particles and tar. The pipe will change color over time as you smoke it. The stem is made out of a special Amberoid acrylic, which provides a great finished look and long-lasting durability.
