Deluxe Signed R. Karaca Raccoon Meerschaum Pipe - Racoons are a highly unusual subject matter with most Turkish carvers, but not for Karaca. He has taken a smooth round bowl and carved two racoons on the backside, one in each direction. The racoons are standing on branches artfully circling around the bottom of the pipe bowl. The carving shows off the racoon's cute little ears and their ringed tails. On the side of the smooth shank is the R. Karaca signature. The pipe is finished with a long slightly bent solid black stem.

This meerschaum pipe is hand carved from genuine 100% Solid Block Meerschaum and imported directly from central Turkey. After the pipe is carved it is dipped in beeswax to provide a protective coating and to also draw out smoke particles and tar. The pipe will color over time as it is smoked. The stem is made of a special Amberoid Acrylic for a nice finished look and long-lasting durability.

Every block meerschaum pipe we sell is carved by hand, so no two pipes are exactly the same. This hand-carved pipe comes in a specially made black leather and velvet-lined brass hinged case which is a custom fit and unique to that individual pipe.
