Scotsman Churchwarden Meerschaum Pipe - This portrait carving of a stately Scotsman shows great detail in his aged face and full wavy beard. He sports a beret cap with a feather on one side holding down his long hair. There are two carved leaves decorating the smooth shank. The bent stem is colored in marbled shades of amber.

In addition to its pleasing look, the long stem of a churchwarden pipe serves to keep smoke and heat further away from the pipe smoker's face. Along with the natural filtering quality of meerschaum, which is known to deliver a cool, dry smoking experience, a churchwarden stem allows smoke to cool even more as it travels the extra distance from the bowl to the end of the mouthpiece.

This meerschaum pipe is hand-carved from genuine 100% solid block meerschaum, and it is imported directly from central Turkey. After carving the pipe, it is dipped in beeswax to provide a protective coating, which also helps to draw out smoke particles and tar. The pipe will change color over time as you smoke it. The stem is made out of a special Amberoid acrylic, which provides a great finished look and long-lasting durability.
