Royal Meerschaum 15th Anniversary Elephant Meerschaum Pipe - A rare collectible from 1985, this elephant pipe was carved exclusively to honor the 15th anniversary of the Royal Meerschaum Pipe company. It is carved from the highest quality meerschaum, therefore, it is quite lightweight for its size. The depth of carving and skilled use of textures brings the elephant to life, from the folds in his large ears, to his trunk swinging down to one side framed with smooth tusks, and to his soulful eyes. The bent stem is a deep dark translucent brown color. Inside the chest is a silver and blue decal stating "Royal Meerschaum Pipe 15th Anniversary, 1970-1985, San Marcos, Calif."  Truly a remarkable find and a very special collector's pipe.

This meerschaum pipe is hand carved from genuine 100% Solid Block Meerschaum and imported directly from central Turkey. After the pipe is carved it is dipped in beeswax to provide a protective coating and to also draw out smoke particles and tar. The pipe will color over time as it is smoked. The stem is made of a special Amberoid Acrylic for a nice finished look and long-lasting durability.

Every block meerschaum pipe we sell is carved by hand, so no two pipes are exactly the same. This hand-carved pipe comes in a specially made blue velvet brass hinged chest. It is a custom fit and unique to the elephant pipe.
