Nording Great Dane C Freehand Briar Pipe - The Great Dane C series are known for their overall large size yet surprisingly light feel in the hand. This freehand pipe is handmade by Erik Nording and is inspired by the Calabash pipe shape. The pipe is mostly smooth, with some rustication as an added enrichment. It is polished to a high gloss, which brings out the beauty of the brown grain. Stamped on the underside of the shank is "Nording Made in Denmark" in a circle with the letter "C" in the center, and under this circle is stamped "Great Dane Made in Denmark." The shank is thick and attaches to a bent yellow amber stem with a scripted initial "N" embedded on the top in a gold color. This one-of-a kind pipe comes in a dark brown velvet drawstring pouch with the Nording signature and Denmark printed in gold.
Erik Nording has been known worldwide since the early 1960's for his unique, one of a kind, hand carved freehand pipes. His pipes have a reputation of feeling good in the hand, light in the mouth and they are guaranteed to smoke great from the very first puff. Located just outside of Copenhagen, Denmark, no two Nording pipes are identical making each one very personal and highly collectible.
