Nording Compass MacArthur Churchwarden Briar Pipe - Inspired by the style of pipe U.S. General Douglas MacArthur smoked, Erik Nording created a churchwarden version of his Compass pipe. The pipe comes with both a regular shank and stem and an extra-long, churchwarden one that is easily removable. The briar pipe is a rusticated brown color with a smooth rim and smooth flat bottom.
Erik Nording created a Danish interpretation of the poker pipe and named it the Compass line. Nording Compass Pipes feature a straight, slim aluminum shank with a black acrylic stem that creates a fascinating modern look. The tall chimney chamber packs in a good amount of pipe tobacco, and the flat bottom allows the pipe to sit.
Stamped on the underside of the pipe bowl is "Compass Made in Denmark" in a circle with the compass symbol in the center. This marking authenticates the pipe. This one-of-a-kind pipe comes in a gray velvet drawstring pouch imprinted with the Compass name and symbol.
Erik Nording has been known worldwide since the early 1960's for his unique, one of a kind, hand carved freehand pipes. His pipes have a reputation of feeling good in the hand, light in the mouth and they are guaranteed to smoke great from the very first puff. Located just outside of Copenhagen, Denmark, no two Nording pipes are identical making each one very personal and highly collectible.
