Over half of the bowl is rusticated and carries up the shank, while the other side, the bottom, and the underside of the shank have a smooth finish, showing a prominent grain pattern. The 9-mm pipe is lined with genuine Turkish meerschaum. This delivers a cool, dry smoke, with the meerschaum acting as a natural filter. Although not necessary, a regular 9-mm filter can be used if desired. The pipe has a lightly polished finish. A white band with a silver-colored ring in the center connects the shank to the stem. The poker-style flat bottom allows the pipe to sit without falling over. The pipe is finished with a bent, solid black saddle stem that has a rubber bite guard at the end.
