A bold pattern of olive wood grain is on one side of the lower section of the pipe bowl and its flat bottom. It flows into a subtle, light pattern on the other. This area and the shank have a smooth finish with rustication carved on the upper part of the bowl. The pipe is polished to a light gloss finish. It is lined with genuine Turkish meerschaum, which acts as a natural filter to deliver a cool, dry smoking experience. A filter is not necessary; however, one can be used if you wish. The poker-style flat bottom allows the pipe to sit without falling over. The pipe has a modern look with two yellow bands framing a silver-colored ring that connects the shank to the solid black churchwarden stem. The saddle stem is bent with a slight curve.
