Medium Small Mahogany Calabash Teardrop Lattice Meerschaum Bowl Pipe - Solid grain mahogany wood pipe is a calabash style made popular by Sherlock Holmes. The 100% solid block meerschaum bowl is carved in teardrop lattice. This carving is done in great detail with the inside of the teardrop carved out smooth then framed in an outline with the rest of the entire bowl carved in tiny circles. The pipe features a special Army Mount (which is also known as a military bit) acrylic tapered stem that is detachable for easy cleaning. This style of mahogany calabash pipe has an exceptionally cool smoke because the smoke rests in the chamber in between inhaling allowing time to cool down. And that's why it was Sherlock's favorite!
This meerschaum pipe is hand carved from 100% solid block meerschaum imported directly from central Turkey. Once carved it is soaked in beeswax so that it will color over time after being smoked. The stem is made of a special amberoid acrylic for good looks and long lasting durability.
Every meerschaum pipe we sell is hand carved so no two pipes are exactly the same. Each hand carved pipe comes in a custom made black leather and velvet lined brass hinged case which is custom fitted and unique to that individual pipe.
