A knurl is a piece of solid block meerschaum designed in either a carved or smooth finish. It fits on the shank of the meerschaum pipe and serves as an attractive extension. A knurl makes the shank longer thus increasing the overall length of the pipe. With this extension the smoke has further to travel with more time to cool down before reaching the end of the mouthpiece. Knurls on our meerschaum pipes have a Teflon threaded connector making it easy to remove when cleaning the pipe.
Lengths vary from approximately 1 to 1 1/4 inches with the width at about 5/8 inch.
These are great for adding some overall length and extra eye appeal.
