Eagle Beak Smooth Knurl Meerschaum Pipe - This pipe is priced a few dollars less plus free shipping due to a tiny chip on the underside of the knurl on the edge of the smooth band. It cannot be seen unless you turn the pipe upside down and it will blend in as the pipe colors. The carved eagle has its head turned to the side as if something has caught its eye. The shank is smooth and connects to a smooth knurl framed by smooth bands. A bent stem marbled in amber tones completes the pipe.

A knurl is a piece of solid block meerschaum designed in either a carved or smooth finish. It fits on the shank of the meerschaum pipe and serves as an attractive extension. A knurl makes the shank longer thus increasing the overall length of the pipe. With this extension the smoke has further to travel with more time to cool down before reaching the end of the mouthpiece. Knurls on our meerschaum pipes have a Teflon threaded connector making it easy to remove when cleaning the pipe.

This meerschaum pipe is hand carved from genuine 100% Solid Block Meerschaum and imported directly from central Turkey. After the pipe is carved it is dipped in beeswax to provide a protective coating and to also draw out smoke particles and tar. The pipe will color over time as it is smoked. The stem is made of a special Amberoid Acrylic for a nice finished look and long lasting durability.

Every meerschaum pipe we sell is hand carved so no two pipes are exactly the same. Each hand carved pipe comes in a custom black leather and velvet lined brass hinged case. The hand made case is a custom fit and unique to the individual pipe.
