Special Signed Cosgun Civil War Soldier Meerschaum Pipe - Once again S. Cosgun delivers an excellent portrait carving. This time it is of a bearded pipe smoking civil war soldier wearing a brimmed forage cap. The pipe bowl is thick and quite deep, yet the pipe is lightweight for its size. The S. Cosgun signature can be found on the side of the smooth shank. The pipe has a scrolled designer stem that sweeps upward with a slight bend. As a collectible or for smoking, this is a fine pipe to have.

This meerschaum pipe is hand carved from genuine 100% Solid Block Meerschaum and imported directly from central Turkey. After the pipe is carved it is dipped in beeswax to provide a protective coating and to also draw out smoke particles and tar. The pipe will color over time as it is smoked. The stem is made of a special Amberoid Acrylic for a nice finished look and long lasting durability.

Every meerschaum pipe we sell is hand carved so no two pipes are exactly the same. Each hand carved pipe comes in a custom burgundy leather and velvet lined brass hinged case. The hand made case is a custom fit and unique to the individual pipe.
