Claw Smooth Bowl Churchwarden Meerschaum Pipe - The classic claw-designed meerschaum pipe is made in a churchwarden style using a bent churchwarden stem that is colored in vivid shades of swirled amber tones. The smooth bowl is held by the claw's sharp talons, with intricately carved scales and feathers. The advantage of a pipe with a churchwarden stem is that it allows the smoke to cool as it travels from the bowl to the end of the mouthpiece. The pipe comes with a black velvet drawstring pipe bag for storage and protection at no additional cost.

This meerschaum pipe is hand carved from genuine 100% solid block meerschaum and imported directly from central Turkey. After the pipe is carved it is dipped in beeswax to provide a protective coating and to also draw out smoke particles and tar. The pipe will color over time as it is smoked. The stem is made of a special Amberoid Acrylic for a nice finished look and long-lasting durability. Since every solid block meerschaum pipe we sell is carved by hand, each pipe is a unique, one-of-a kind piece of artistry.

NOTE: This pipe does not come in a custom fitted case, however, it does fit in our Churchwarden Velvet Chest.
