The lattice carving on this pipe is extraordinary. The Turkish pipe carver carved out a space underneath each lattice hole, and that gives the pipe its 3-dimensional look. Carving this technique takes lots of patience, a steady hand, and extra time. The scales of the eagle claw are also carved in great detail, and this carving continues up the shank. A marbled bent stem colored in various shades of light and dark amber is the finishing touch to this beautiful meerschaum pipe.

This meerschaum pipe is hand-carved from genuine 100% solid block meerschaum, and it is imported directly from central Turkey. After carving the pipe, it is dipped in beeswax to provide a protective coating, which also helps to draw out smoke particles and tar. The pipe will change color over time as it is smoked. The stem is from a special Amberoid acrylic, which provides a great finished look and long-lasting durability.
