Special Baglan Whale and Octopus Meerschaum Pipe

Special Baglan Whale and Octopus Meerschaum Pipe - Master Carver Baglan outdoes himself in this skillful and creative carving of a swimming whale and octopus. The pipe bowl is carved in an embossed floral and leaf design. Around one side of the bowl swims a smooth carved whale with his whale tail arched up in front of the bowl. The opposite side of the bowl shows a carved octopus head with his tentacles wrapping outward to the front of the bowl and along its underside. Baglan carved this pipe in balance so that it sits at a slight angle and does not topple over. The I. Baglan signature is carved at the end of the shank on the underside of the smooth band. The pipe is finished with a scrolled bent stem colored in marbled amber shades. A marvelous collectible and smoking pipe most certain to attract attention and be a conversational piece.

This meerschaum pipe is hand carved from genuine 100% solid block meerschaum and imported directly from central Turkey. After the pipe is carved it is dipped in beeswax to provide a protective coating and to also draw out smoke particles and tar. The pipe will color over time as it is smoked. The stem is made of a special Amberoid Acrylic for a nice finished look and long lasting durability.

Every meerschaum pipe we sell is hand carved so no two pipes are exactly the same. Each hand carved pipe comes in a custom burgundy leather and velvet lined brass hinged case. The hand made case is a custom fit and unique to the individual pipe.
