Special Master Carver Baglan Bacchus Meerschaum Pipe - In the Baglan tradition, this Bacchus meerschaum pipe is meticulously carved with artistic creativity and the utmost attention to detail. Baglan captures the happiness of Bacchus by revealing details in the carving of his face. His head is framed with a crown of grape leaves and grapes, with the theme carrying to the underside of the deep pipe bowl and up the shank. The I. Baglan signature is lightly carved at the end of the shank on the underside of the smooth band. Here it connects to a scrolled, designer-bent stem colored in rich amber tones. The polished pipe is finished with a special wax formula created by Baglan that results in a deep, rich golden yellow color. This meerschaum pipe is hand carved from genuine 100% solid block meerschaum and imported directly from central Turkey. After the pipe is carved it is dipped in beeswax to provide a protective coating and to also draw out smoke particles and tar. The pipe will color over time as it is smoked. The stem is made of a special Amberoid Acrylic for a nice finished look and long lasting durability.
