Special Bacchus Silver Band Meerschaum Pipe - Fantastic portrait carving of Bacchus. All of this pipe is masterfully hand carved in the finest detail. The depth of the carving shows much character in his face, from prominent cheekbones to pearly white teeth and a curly mustache and beard. He wears a wreath made of grape leaves, with bunches of grapes hanging on each side of the pipe bowl. The underside is carved in a beautiful designer lattice motif. The pipe features a silver band joining the shank to a scrolled, designer full bent stem. Definitely, this piece is a work of art, a great collectible, and a fine smoking pipe.

This meerschaum pipe is hand carved from genuine 100% solid block meerschaum and imported directly from central Turkey. After the pipe is carved it is dipped in beeswax to provide a protective coating and to also draw out smoke particles and tar. The pipe will color over time as it is smoked. The stem is made of a special Amberoid Acrylic for a nice finished look and long-lasting durability.
